So what’s a Facebook Party you say? Well, it’s an opportunity for all of us to get together, have some fun, mingle and ham it up for the camera!

We will be offering quick, fun and very inexpensive individual portraits designed to be used for your social networking and dating profiles! Jazz up your Facebook and other network profile pages with a current, professional image that shows off your personality in the best way possible!

Please come join us for Facebook Friday on Friday March 12^th at Jamye Perelli Photography’s studio located in Gun Barrel City, Texas. We will have some cold drinks on hand so come by and have a drink, mingle with some friends and get your networking profiles looking snazzy!

Wedding Photography by Jamye Perelli- Adrian & Coin’s Wedding Story

Adrian and Coin’s wedding was our first of 2010 to photograph. It was great to start the year out with such a cute, fun loving couple surrounded by very happy family and friends!

The wedding was held in Kaufman, Texas not far from our home base of Cedar Creek Lake. The ceremony was beautiful at the local FUMC . We especially enjoyed the reception at Star Brand Ranch. Susan Robertson and her team did a fantastic job alongside Bruce from Captain B’s Florist to make the place just gorgeous!

Fall Portraits with Trey and Drew Neighbors

This is the second year I have had the pleasure of working with Robin Neighbors on some family fall/holiday portraits. This year she decided she wanted to do portraits of just the kids in an outdoor setting. After many days of rain I was happy on the day of our shoot to find we had a beautiful sunny day. Trey and Drew and Mom, Robin, arrived at the studio in the afternoon. One of the first statements out of Robin’s mouth was that Trey had said the night before that he was so excited to be doing pictures with Jamye again. Well, of course, for a young boy to say he was looking forward to doing portraits made me feel like I must be doing something right!After a little prep we followed the path behind the studio to a fallen tree that I use quite often for outdoors portraits. I also decide I would take them to another area close by the studio for another series of shots that turned out to be my favorites. Here are a few of them.

I recently had the pleasure of having Tim, Tiffany and Cade in my studio for their first official family portrait. What a cute family!! Cade made his arrival into this world earlier this year. Shortly before his birth I did a maternity photo session for Tiffany and Tim in their home. I should have known from the wonderful images we got from that session that their first family portraits would be just as adorable. Could this family get any cuter?

Tanner’s Senior Portraits…..

Tanner’s a 2010 High School Senior at Mabank High. He’s also the son of my good friend Connie. Tanner was a pleasure to photograph and was a real trooper when I took him into the woods and had him covered in mosquitoes in no time flat! Later on I had Connie standing in an ant bed and jumping around to get them out of her shoes. No one said getting great shots was going to be easy. Sometimes we have brave weather, bugs, snakes, etc. but if you are willing to do it so I am!!!Despite the whelps and itchiness we had fun shooting outside. Tanner’s proud of his new truck so we incorporated it into a few of his senior portraits. And I had a blast creating sun flares! Here are a few of my favorites.

Halloween is just around the corner!!!

If you have kiddos get them suited up in their costumes and bring them to the studio on Oct. 30th anytime between noon and 5pm for a mini photo shoot.

Victoria Turns One!

Rainy and her one year old daughter Victoria arrived at the photography studio in the early afternoon and we set right to work deciding on clothing and backdrops. I had told Rainy to bring a variety of clothing and a few props that she might like to use during the portrait session to showcase Victoria’s first birthday.I have been photographing adults and young adults for many years but photographing small children alone on a regular basis is something that is fairly new to me.

In the last year I have learned that no matter what I might have in mind that the person really determining the flow of the shoot is the child. Yes, I have learned a few tricks to get the shot and I am still learning more but I have also learned nothing is better than good old fashioned patience. For this reason I schedule plenty of time for sessions with little ones.Sometimes we may get a variety of good shots very quickly and others times we need may to be patient and wait.

Sometimes we have a child who can handle a variety of clothing changes and stays good natured through the session. In any situation I want to make sure we have enough time and don’t feel rushed.

Victoria was just one of those children that stayed in a fairly good mood despite the fact that we changed her clothes and the set several times.

One of the props that Rainy brought was a really cool hat box. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to use in along with one of the new damask backdrops I purchased last week. I love the look we got with this shot. I am betting Rainy will too.

Rainy, it was a pleasure to meet you and Victoria yesterday ! I am now looking forward to photographing your entire family!
